SnapGPX is made by one developer, and that developer answers the email. Write to [email protected] — about a problem, a question, or something you wish the app did. Expect a reply within a few days.

What helps when reporting a problem

None of this is required — write anyway. But when something has gone wrong with a specific workout, these four lines usually turn a guess into an answer:

• Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings > General > About).
• The SnapGPX version, at the bottom of the Settings tab.
• The sport and the date of the workout involved, and which format you exported.
• What you expected, and what happened instead.

Before you write: the three things people ask most

My workouts do not appear

SnapGPX lists workouts that carry a GPS route, because a route is what it exports. A workout recorded without GPS — an indoor session, or a treadmill run — is in Apple Health but has nothing to export, so it is not listed.

If you expected a route and it is missing, the usual cause is the device that recorded it. Some watches and apps write the workout to Apple Health but not its route; Garmin is the common case. The workout is there, the route never arrived, and no app can export what Health does not hold.

To check what SnapGPX is allowed to read: Health > Sharing > Apps > SnapGPX. It asks for read-only access and never writes anything back.

I want to see what the app does before granting access to Health

On the empty Activities screen, tap See a sample. The app fills itself with made-up activities so you can open a map, read the charts and try an export. A banner stays on screen while sample data is on, and Exit sample puts your own library back. Nothing you see in that mode is your data, and anything you export from it is made up too.

Where do my exported files go?

Wherever you send them. SnapGPX builds the file on your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet; you choose the destination — Files, AirDrop, email, another app. SnapGPX uploads nothing on its own, and it keeps no copy after you have shared or dismissed it.
